Shaka Scott brings more than two decades of sophisticated legal experience to his role as a general counsel advisor, applying a practical, preventive, business f irst approach that equips leaders to make informed decisions while minimizing legal and operational risk. A nationally recognized healthcare and corporate attorney, Shaka combines transactional depth with regulatory foresight to help organizations structure their operations, contracts, governance, and compliance programs with clarity.
With a career grounded in serving highly regulated industries, including healthcare, technology, financial services, and energy, Shaka has negotiated complex commercial agreements, guided multistate regulatory compliance, overseen due diligence for major transactions, and advised on corporate governance matters for both private and public companies.

• Chair of QPWB’s Complex Deal Division and Partner with GenCo Legal’s General Counsel division, supporting healthcare and technology innovators and counseling physicians, insurers, managed care organizations, and emerging-growth companies through complex HR, compliance, regulatory, and contractual matters.
• Extensive healthcare regulatory experience, including Stark Law, fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement structures, and state-specific compliance requirements.
• Advises organizations on contracts, corporate governance, employment and HR issues, regulatory compliance frameworks, and data-security obligations across highly regulated industries.
• Experienced in leading transactional strategy, including the negotiation and structuring of shareholder and investor rights, securities offerings, joint ventures, and technology/IP licensing.
• Deep background in major acquisitions and commercial transactions, overseeing asset and business division sales, stock purchase transactions, investment fund offerings, and a wide range of complex commercial agreements.
